After its closure on in July, The Newmarket pub has found a new lease on life under the stewardship of Luxe Hospitality Group. Led by experienced directors Daniel Thompson and Georgie Will, the team brings a wealth of hospitality expertise and a deep commitment to creating welcoming spaces for communities to enjoy.
The pub is undergoing a series of thoughtful refurbishments ahead of its grand reopening, scheduled for mid-August. These updates aim to modernize the space while preserving the pub’s traditional charm, ensuring it remains a favorite gathering spot for locals.
Exciting Changes on the Horizon
The refurbishment of The Newmarket includes improvements to the lounge area and updates to the bar, such as new beer pumps and an expanded range of coffee and soft drinks. Enhancements like a pool table and a cutting-edge music system, allowing patrons to select songs via QR codes, will add a contemporary touch to the pub experience.
In the long term, Luxe Hospitality Group plans to introduce a variety of live entertainment options, including quiz nights, live music, and themed events, to foster a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere.
A Mission with Heart
Daniel Thompson, co-founder of Luxe Hospitality Group, brings a personal mission to the business. After the loss of his newborn daughter, Ava-Marie, Daniel established the Ava-Marie Foundation, which aims to support families navigating child bereavement. The Group plans to further this mission by opening a Child Bereavement Hub on Market Street, creating a vital resource for the community while honoring Ava-Marie’s legacy.
